Effective support for pupils with special needs in regular schools
External practiceDuration
Ongoing.
Partnership
Trade union, employers and government.
Reason it was developed
Pupils with special needs in regular schools generate additional resources that schools have to use for the support of these pupils. It is important that these resources are also effectively used for this and that the education personnel from special needs schools can use their experience for this support.
Activities
In recent years the trade unions have played an active and persistent role in the committees to achieve this goal.
Results
The resources for the support of pupils with special educational needs are distributed on site in such a way that they reach where these pupils are actually in school. In addition, the personnel with expertise (from special education schools) are employed in the right places.
