Reason it was developed
'Mochara Goes to Nursery' has been created to extend the EIS's suite of Welcome Packs, to welcome children and families who arrive in Scotland as refugees or migrants, to their new Early Learning and Childcare setting.
Activities
‘Mochara Goes to Nursery’ follows little Mochara on the emotional ups and downs of her first day at nursery and reassures children about what to expect - that it’s okay to be nervous, and that they will have fun and make many new friends. The EIS will be distributing the booklet via Early Learning Childcare. A reading of the story, in English, is available on the EIS website.
Results
'Mochara Goes to Nursery', is intended to provide insight and reassurance to refugee and migrant children and families about what to expect when coming to nursery in Scotland.
