Reason it was developed

1. Identify strategies for effectively implementing a full continuum of integrated school mental health approaches to support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success and teachers' well-being and performance. 2. Examine school mental health practices grounded in evidence and supported by research for effective implementation. 3. Outline actionable steps to establish meaningful partnerships with SBASHK, engage key stakeholders, collaborate with youth, and involve families in addressing school mental health.

Activities

Panel Discussion 1: Current situation of mental health in schools in Kosovo Cultural Sensitivity in Mental Health Education Panel Discussion 2: The role of various stakeholders in support of mental health care in schools Parallel Sessions: Examining the difficulties that, teachers face over Mental Health Adolescent/Youth Mental Health Situation Keynote Address: The role of trade unions in protecting educators' rights, ensuring the well-being of educators and students, and promoting quality education. Youth Voice – Youth Representatives as Champions for Mental Health in Schools and Community Breakout session: Teacher Preparation and Support Collaboration with Parents and Caregivers Plenary session: Creating a Safe and Inclusive School Environment Integration of Mental Health in the School Curriculum Access to Mental Health Care Resources Breakout session: Working with SBASHK, teachers, young people, psychologists, parents, and the community. Mental health promotion through advocating efforts aimed at the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health.
